Which Automation Platforms Are Out There, and Which One Should You Choose?
I have personally used ActiveCampaign, ConstantContact, MailerLite, HubSpot, MailChimp…
All of them have their Pros and cons. I normally recommend only two platforms. ActiveCampaign and MailerLite.
However, I was completely satisfied with the Free version of MailerLite; I realized I could get my business and conversions to the next level simply by using ActiveCampaign. Unlike MailerLite, ActiveCampaign is not Free. But I didn’t left MailerLite for ActiveCampaign blindly. Like many other online Entrepreneurs, I handle my finances with care! So, I restudied all the available platforms in the market, and I could find non like ActiveCampaign. And ever since I use it, it has transformed my business. Next, I am going to share how ActiveCampaign has served my business.

What Can the Right Automation Tool Do for Your Business?
Ok, here’s the System I use to Automate my Business or my client’s Businesses. I have a 3 Fold process for everyone who joins my world:
- I Attract Them
- Nurture Them
- Then I Convert Them To Customers
These are the basics, I am sure you know, but for the sake of a few of those who might need, let me explain from basics, and later the fun stuff will come.
To attract and generate leads, you need to give away something for Free. Marketers call it a “lead magnet.” Your lead magnet could be An eBook, a FB Group, A Free Trial, a Cheatsheet, a Google sheet, a Guide, a quiz, a free course… I create almost all my lead magnets using Canva, Divi, and Google Forms.
Once you created your lead magnet, you need to create a landing page. To know the difference between a landing page, a website, and a Funnel, Click here.
Here is an example of my landing page. In this example, I used WordPress, Bluehost and Divi theme, and only the form is an ActiveCampaign embedded form.
So, once your audience finds your landing page through any traffic resources, it can convince your audience to offer their name and email if your landing page is optimized and has the correct copy.
Tip:
Some companies are in the habit of just collecting emails and not other information from their leads. They don’t collect name for example. When you created your landing page, do not collect their emails only. At least collect the first name and email to personalize your emails and to be able to you’re your leads and clients by name in the future.
Now all your emails will go to the list of clients. Let’s call it “List 01”. Once then, you need to create an automated sequence of emails that will “Nurture” your new leads “List 01”.
You can do all these with MailerLite or ActiveCampaign. However, I highly recommend you use ActiveCampaign from day one because of the next set of features that I will talk about.
If you decided to have an ActiveCampaign account, you would be having 500+ Automation recipes, 125 email Templates, and 850+ integrations. You can also give access to your copywriter as a new user (with controllable access) so that she or he can write your emails for you.
In addition, if you collect telephone numbers, you can have automated SMS marketing which is awesome. Imagine they receive an SMS before you go Live on your Webinar.
All I mentioned are cool futures, but the features that have sold ActiveCampaign to me were the CRM and Deals option, which comes with the Plus, Professional and Enterprise packages.
Once you capture them as a lead, Active Campaign will automatically send them emails.Based on your audience behaviors (Behaviors like opening emails, clicking a link or joining your Course, or your FB Group); It will send them new sets of emails. It can also upgrade them to a new list, and it will tag them from level to level. It will also take them up to your customer journey’s value ladder. You set it once, and you will come back from time to time to check your ActiveCampaign’s CRM and the progress of all your clients. This will also help you check where each person in your funnel stands and what she or he has downloaded, which courses she or he has consumed, and much more.
