Three different ways to build your email list that I use!

Email lists are one of the most important assets for a business. Social media platforms’ contacts and friends are not yours because you can lose all your contacts overnight. But when you create a solid email list. That is yours. I still remember as I joined Russell Brunson’s One Funnel Away Challenge for the first time, he mentioned the number of emails in your list determines your monthly income. In other words, if you have 10K emails on your lists, you must be at least earning 10K dollars, according to him. Of course, if you use your message the right way.

What I like about list building, email marketing automation is its “one to many” approach. In other words, as a Solopreneur, coach, constant, Freelancer or digital Nomad,  Email allows you to reach many people at any time with just a click of a button. That is why you need to make sure that you are building your email list. You need to be adding new subscribers to your list every day to have people ready to take the actions you require or buy from you when they need to.

Here are the three practical ways you can build your email list today.

Tip:

I have created a complete guide I call “Automate More To Work Less” to help you model the same framework for your business.

  • Grow your List Using Facebook Groups

Facebook Groups is a great way to reach the people in your target audience. Facebook Group is a well-loved platform for people to discuss topics that interest them and connect with others who share those interests. It is a great place to build engagement and a community around your brand or business. But did you know that you can also use your Facebook Groups to build and grow your email list? Let me explain both here. Using other Facebook Group as well as your Facebook Groups to generate unlimited number of leads.

Find where your audience congregates and then try to add value having the goal of posting your articles in those Facebook groups relevant to your topic and holding your audience. You should find creative ways to share your article or blog in those groups. You can search for the related keywords and address the questions in the comments or reaching out to the members who want to know more through messenger. You can talk to the admin and hold a webinar or ask if you could post articles in the group. Many times if it is not against their business and rules, they will accept it. You can post your value with a link to your post where you have a popup opt-in. At times your only problem is that Facebook doesn’t like to lead people out of Facebook. So, your reach might be limited the best practice at this time that I am writing this Blog is to post your value as a comment.

In one of my workshops, I teach my students ten Frameworks to reach out organically using Facebook. So try to reach out on my FB and ask me if you are interested.

The other way is to start a Facebook group related to your topic. Then post your articles in that group. For this strategy, all you need to do is after starting your group, use a tool to collect the email addresses of the leads who join your group. I have a Facebook Group called “Fast Track Roadmap” where I share my marketing secrets with my audience. So I welcome you to join. And once you join, you will see I ask you three questions. A lead capturing extension will add you to my ActiveCampain’s list when you join.

  • Add a signup form tab to your Facebook page

Facebook pages are generally not used for organic reach, but you need to add a CTA, in our case a Signup button, to continue reaching out to your Facebook followers. By adding this a “More Info” button to your Facebook page, you will increase the number of your email list and improve your website’s traffic and online presence. Checkout how I use it on my Facebook Page.

It is essential to make sure that it is easy for customers to find and not confusing. Make sure to include a compelling CTA and description on your Cover photo to make people want to sign up!

First, click on the “the button under your page’s cover photo” button. Then “Edit Button, choose “Learn More” enter your landing Page’s URL.

Once they click on this button, it should take them to your landing page, where they get their Free Gift.

  • Create a signup landing page with a lead magnet

A landing page is a page on your site that aims to convert visitors into leads.  The difference between a landing page and a website is, while websites ask you to do many things on one page, the landing page asks you to do just one thing. They usually do not have a menu. So every time you see a web page with one CTA, it is a landing page.

Let’s say you want to create a lead magnet to collect contact information of your site visitors. You can use a landing page to offer information about your lead magnet and a form to capture the contact info of your visitors. When it comes to creating a landing page, your lead magnet and all the info should be so valuable that the visitors will offer  their names and email address.

I use ActiveCampaign forms, and I embed them in my landing pages. If you want to learn more about the difference between a Funnel, a landing page, and a website, you need to take this short Free course.

There is a lot of debate about which kind of landing page is best. But you are the best person to choose the right metrics for you. Some of the metrics are as follow:

Number of conversions

Once a visitor has converted, how long will it take them to convert a second time?

Cost of customer acquisition

Once you have a lot of customers, are you willing to pay a lot to acquire more?

Personalization

Do you need to be able to send different offers to different people?

Lead Magnets

A lead magnet is a piece of content that is specifically designed to attract new visitors. Lead magnets can be virtually anything. You can offer discounts, free consultations, free e-books, or any other piece of content that your ideal customers will be interested in receiving.

Tip:

Some companies are in the habit of just collecting emails and not other information from their leads. They don’t collect name for example. When you created your landing page, do not collect their emails only. At least collect the first name and email to personalize your emails and to be able to you’re your leads and clients by name in the future.
